Le Viet Hung was born and raised in Phong Nha. He takes pride in his hometown, renowned for its majestic limestone mountains, unique caves, and beautiful rivers. Since joining Oxalis in 2018, Hung started his career as a safety assistant. By March 2024, he officially became a guide, fulfilling his dream of sharing Phong Nha’s landscapes and culture with international travelers.
Starting as a safety assistant, Hung gradually learned the techniques, processes, and experience necessary to become a professional guide. He has led tours from 1 to 3 days in the Tu Lan cave system and has also assisted film crews in Phong Nha. One of his most memorable experiences was the 3-day Tu Lan tour, where he and his guests trekked through dense jungle and camped by a stream. A highlight of the journey was swimming through caves adorned with vibrant stalactites, creating unforgettable memories. Hung feels as if he’s stepping into a magical world each time he guides guests here, fully appreciating nature’s untouched beauty.
Hung is passionate about outdoor activities such as trekking, stream-crossing, and mountain climbing. His love for nature and desire to showcase his hometown’s beauty are what led him to this career. Hung’s guiding style is friendly and enthusiastic, always creating a relaxed atmosphere while sharing knowledge about the geography and history of the caves with guests. He also prioritizes safety to ensure a complete and enjoyable journey.
Hung has completed numerous intensive training sessions organized by international experts, focusing on geology, safety, and rescue. These courses have provided him with essential knowledge and sharpened his skills in equipment handling, first aid, and managing situations during tours.
