LE VAN HUY

Adventure tour guide

Le Van Huy was born and raised in Phong Nha. He began his journey with Oxalis in 2015, starting as a porter and then advancing to safety assistant. Through continuous effort, he worked his way up to become an official guide. Huy takes great pride in introducing his hometown, Phong Nha, the “kingdom of caves” and a UNESCO World Heritage site, to visitors from around the world.

Before joining Oxalis, Huy had no experience in the tourism industry. However, he tried to improve his English and studied Tour Guide at Saigon Tourism College. Huy has led 1 and 2-day tours in Hang Tien, Tu Lan and Hang En. For him, each trip is a new and exciting experience.

Huy especially enjoys trekking on limestone terrain and swimming in caves during the summer. He describes himself as cheerful and humorous, yet disciplined in his work. Huy has gained geological knowledge from company-provided materials and training sessions. Annual safety and rescue courses have strengthened his expertise in safety protocols, first aid, and emergency response. Moreover, working alongside skilled colleagues has helped Huy develop essential skills in communication, group management, time management, and emergency management.

Among the tour locations, Huy has a special fondness for the campsite at Hang En, where the vast open space provides a sense of freedom. For Huy, each tour is not only an adventure but also a wonderful opportunity for guests to connect with and experience the beauty of nature.
