  Alan Walker’s dedicated filming crew flew into Vietnam and visited the extraordinary Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, which is home to some of the world’s most magnificent underground caves, including the largest cave in the world – Son Doong. The filming crew had then finalized Son Doong as one of the most ideal locations for filming Alan Walker "Alone, Pt. II". Phong Nha, in the Quang Binh province of Vietnam, is no stranger to filming for big projects and was sure to woo Alan Walker’s production crew! Among other interesting facts, it is known that the team also stayed at the Chay Lap Farmstay and filmed along the gorgeous Chay River, while on Di Di Thoi’s Phong Nha River Cruise.

  #28300 – The girl that changed everything!

  The main character of Alan Walker "Alone, Pt. II" is a 23 years old Parisian girl, played by actress Susanne Karin Moe. In the music video, her undercover moniker is 28300 and she is a renowned archaeologist who made the revolutionary Walker discoveries and excavations that changed the course of history and left the world in shock. All these incredible excavations and discoveries were primarily based on the ancient civilization known as the “Walkers”. After having begun discovering in France, she now looks for more traces of this eccentric and rather unknown civilization in other parts of the world. This ancient civilization, the “Walkers”, is known to be highly advanced in mysterious ways and being able to find them again would be extraordinary.

  

  

  The Walkers – An ancient civilization like no other

  According to the Alan Walker Ft. Ava Max "Alone, Pt. II" fascinating storyline, the “Walkers” have been portrayed as an ancient civilization that was too advanced for its time, in inexplicable ways. 28300 believes through her discoveries that this lost civilization still exists deep inside the Earth and hold secrets and mysteries that can change the world completely. Many of the excavations that 28300 has made in France, are leading her to this unknown civilization in one way or the other.

  But, what are these discoveries and other evidence of unusually strange happenings that’ll lead her to the Walkers?

  The Prophecy Disk

  The prophecy disk is a round and wooden plate with highly detailed and precise engravings. This was unearthed in Vietnam’s Quang Binh Province and the illustrations are based on the mysterious Walkers’ civilization!

  Heading Home Painting

  Heading Home is a painting that plays an essential role in 28300’s search for the lost civilization of the Walkers. This painting was taken from the Fontainebleau Palace in France. This eccentric painting depicts a person in blue robes holding two objects in his hands. The surrounding men seem to be wearing red capes, the kind of clothing which was found during the same excavations.

  The Red Caped Men

  According to the discoveries made within Alan Walker’s latest music video’s storyline, it is believed that the lost civilization of the Walkers resides deep inside the Earth, specifically unexplored gigantic caves in the Quang Binh Province of North-Central Vietnam. It is believed that the entrances of these caves are protected by mysterious red caped men who were believed to be hovering over the cave and yet remain hidden in plain sight.

  Mysterious blue lights and UFO sightings

  Another very fascinating yet fictional aspect covered in Alan Walker "Alone, Pt. II" is the fact that 28300 was contacted by a local man from the Quang Binh province of Vietnam, about mysterious blue lights in the sky and UFO sightings near the caves. In reality, the Quang Binh province of Vietnam has over 8000 km of thick tropical jungle which is home to some of world’s largest caves and most of them are actually unexplored. This makes for an ideal fit when it comes to being led to finding the Walkers, as they are believed to be residing deep inside such caves underground. According to the storyline, the caves are considered to be the entrance portals to the lost civilization.

  Finding the Walkers inside Phong Nha, Vietnam

  This exciting search leads 28300 to the mystical land of the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. She then rides a boat along the astounding rivers and into the jungles, before stumbling upon an otherworldly giant-the Son Doong cave. According to the Alan Walker "Alone, Pt. II" video concept, the Son Doong Cave is believed to be the entrance to the ancient world of the lost civilization. But wait, the search doesn’t end here! She finds a hole inside the cave and braves a leap into it, only to find that the hole was a portal to a whole new world.

• Alan Walker "Alone, Pt. II" filming crew & support

  Alan Walker’s filming crew has always given the world some eccentric and out of the box music videos and aim to blow the viewers’ minds through AW’s "Alone, Pt. II" as well. The filming crew that visited Son Doong was a group of 8 persons including the director, camera man, assistant camera man, wardrobe person, producer, the main actor and other members assisting the project.

  Asia’s Biggest Adventure Tours Company and the only official tour operator of the Son Doong cave – Oxalis Adventure is based in the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and made the filming process of Alan Walker’s "Alone, Pt. II" in Vietnam possible.

Oxalis Adventure – Turning Alan Walker’s "Alone, Pt. II" into reality

Being the region’s biggest tour operator and considered a life changer for the locals in Phong Nha, Oxalis Adventure rose to this special occasion with an aim to assist Alan Walker and his team with unconditional support and the best of everything that Phong Nha has to offer!

Apart from sponsoring all the costs incurred like national park fees, equipment, logistics, accommodations, transport rtc. during the entire filming process in Vietnam.

Oxalis Adventure organized all logistic arrangements for Alan Walker’s production team while they were in Phong Nha, for filming the music video for "Alone, Pt. II" in Hang En cave, Son Doong Cave and Nuoc Nut Cave, and even arranged accommodation at The Oxalis Group’s Chay Lap Farmstay. Oxalis Adventure worked very closely with Kristian Berg - director and Mikkel Gulliksen – production manager for Alan Walker Ft. Ava Max "Alone, Pt. II", to ensure that the Son Doong Cave and Phong Nha village turns out to be the ideal filming destination.

A large porter team of Oxalis Adventure of around 30 people supported the filming process. All the equipment for the film was carried by this team and Oxalis supported Alan Walker and his filming crew with accommodation before and after at the Chay Lap Farmstay. As mentioned earlier, prior to filming at Son Doong, the filming crew also filmed some shots on the Chay River; outdoor filming on boats on rivers and climbing trees was also supported by Oxalis.

Each member of the filming crew was accompanied and supported by 1 safety assistant and 5 porters while shooting.

Cave Experts Deb Limbert and Martin Holroyd, along with tour guide Tran Quang Anh Vu guided Alan Walker’s production team throughout the expediton to ensure highest standards of safety of the filming crew while inside the gigantic Son Doong cave. The lighting for filming, generators and other necessary apparatus was also provided by Oxalis.

Time management was an important aspect so that the shots were filmed in the best lighting conditions. It wasn’t easy to make sure the correct equipment for the shot was in place at the correct time and everything was charged to ensure all cameras and lights were able to be used when necessary. However, the dedicated team of Oxalis demonstrated their brilliance and ensured a very professional and smooth conduct of the filming process for Alan Walker’s latest song.

Setting up the stunt position and making sure it was safe was a difficult challenge. Apart from this, the really long hours of filming and making sure the Oxalis porters and filming crew were properly fed using take-out food supplied by the Oxalis cooks from the campsite during the filming, as the days were very long indeed. The logistics and time management were the biggest challenges faced as only 4 days in the cave were available and Doline 1 had to be filmed whilst sunbeams were present. This involved 2 long days in Doline 1 of Son Doong.

Oxalis Adventure team acting in Alan Walker Ft. Ava Max "Alone, Pt. II"

Son Doong Cave – the world’s largest cave, is located in a very remote area deep inside the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, therefore all porter team members played the roles of the mysterious Red Caped men – The protectors of the ancient Walkers civilization in the Alan Walker "Alone, Pt. II". The Son Doong porter team leader Tuan Vu acted as the lead guide for 28300 in finding the secret of the ancient civilization.

Locations covered – What you can expect to see in Alan Walker "Alone, Pt. II" featuring Ava Max

Many locations above and below the ground were covered for filming Alan Walker’s latest song "Alone, Pt. II". Filming was done at the Doong Village, the Hang En cave entrance and numerous spots in the Son Doong cave, primarily the Hand of Dog formation and Doline 1. Apart from these locations, the surrounding wilderness of the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park was also used. Nuoc Nut Cave inside the National Park will also be showcased on the music video. Outside of the jungle and cave, the Chay River, Trooc River and Tra Ang bridge were also used as great filming locations for the video. Another exotic filming location for this music video was the Angkor Wat in Siem Riep, Cambodia.

At the Doong village (small ethnic minority village located on the way to the Son Doong cave) was the first scene of the music video, where the main character picks up a guide (Tuan Vu).

The third largest cave in the world – Hang En, was used as the entrance to the cave searching for the symbol. Numerous locations were used in Son Doong as well. Drone filming was done by Ryan Deboodt, mainly at the Hand of Dog formation and lots in Doline 1, where two days were spent filming this incredible location. This is where the symbol known as the Walker Monument was located.

After exiting the cave, a large tree was found at the top of which the main character was positioned and a drone camera flew around her to show the view of the mountains and jungle in the distance. Ryan Deboodt did the drone shooting and British Cave Research Expert and Oxalis Adventure’s safety trainer Mr. Martin Holroyd was the safety expert in getting her up and down safely in the tree.

Besides the jungle and cave filming, some wonderful shots were also taken on the Chay River with the Oxalis Holiday Cruise under the support of the Di Di Thoi team.

Alan Walker’s "Alone, Pt. II" is certainly going to be one of Alan Walker’s greatest hits, also due to the surreal beauty shown in the music video!
