Results of the Tú Làn Adventure Race 2025: Honoring the Most Outstanding Teams
Returning to the rugged landscapes of Tân Hoá – Minh Hoá (Quảng Bình) in late March, the Tu Lan Adventure Race 2025 once again brought an extraordinary journey to 100 participants from across Vietnam. Spanning over 38 kilometers, the race challenged participants with cave swimming, paddling upstream on the Rào Nan River, trail running through sharp limestone forests, and pushing through muddy terrain. This year’s race was not only a test of physical endurance but also a powerful trial of willpower, teamwork, and coordination at the highest level.
Beyond the exhilarating sportsmanship, Tú Làn Adventure Race 2025 was also marked by its strong sense of community. This year, 35 self-contained toilets were donated to local households in Tân Hóa commune as part of an ongoing effort to improve living standards and promote environmental hygiene for rural communities.
The Race Through Forests, Rivers, and Inner Strength
On March 27, the Tú Làn Adventure Race 2025 officially kicked off in the stunning landscape of Phong Nha, Quảng Bình. Once all ten teams had gathered, they made their way to the Oxalis office in Tân Hóa, where they were welcomed by peaceful mountain scenery and crisp highland air.
The teams gathered at the Memorial Site in the Phong Nha Center area to travel to Tân Hóa.
Participating teams – Tú Làn Adventure Race 2025:
- BÉT
- Cross Team (X)
- Dấu Chân
- Iron Wave Warriors
- Knights Reborn
- Sun Sea
- SVP
- Thiếu Nữ
- Thập Vĩ
- THƯƠNG
Arriving in Tân Hóa – recognized as one of the World’s Best Tourist Villages by UNWTO – the teams received their camping gear and were hosted by local families. This quiet first day was more than just preparation; it was a chance for participants to connect with the land and people of this flood-prone region.
In the afternoon, teams cycled and walked through the village, visiting local homes. Some helped prepare traditional meals, others listened to stories by the fire about floating houses and the villagers' fierce determination to stay and rebuild after floods. The warm hospitality and deep-rooted resilience of the people left a lasting impression on every team member.
Members of team Cross X gathered around, listening and watching as the Nguồn people prepared cơm pồi.
That evening, over shared meals and heartfelt conversations, laughter echoed through Tân Hóa. After dinner, teams gathered for the race briefing – readying their minds and spirits for the challenges ahead.
Iron Wave Warriors joined in picking vegetables and lent a hand in preparing a simple, home-cooked meal in rural Tân Hóa.
The first day of racing started with a traditional code-breaking challenge that staggered the teams' starting times. Knights Reborn cracked the code in just 10 minutes, securing the first departure. Despite starting fifth, team Thập Vĩ surged ahead during the grueling 6km upstream paddle on the Rào Nan River. With low water and strong currents, the team had to push, pull, and drag their boat through tough conditions – a physically draining yet defining opening stage.
In the afternoon, teams swam through Hang Rùa (Turtle Cave), followed by a 12km trail run over varied terrain. Team Thiếu Nữ delivered a standout performance, finishing first with the highest score of the day. Thập Vĩ, Iron Wave Warriors, Dấu Chân, and Knights Reborn also performed consistently, rounding out the top five after Day 1.
Nature turned up the difficulty on Day 2. Rain soaked the trails, and temperatures dropped to 20°C. According to the rules, the leading teams started last, with five-minute intervals between them.
Thập Vĩ, however, was undeterred. With precise teamwork and determination, they tackled slippery slopes and razor-sharp limestone trails to take first place in the 14km long run and again in the final short-distance sprint of the day.
Knights Reborn – a blend of seasoned racers and new faces from Bắc Ninh, Tây Ninh, Hưng Yên, Đà Lạt, and Ho Chi Minh City – showcased a powerful "Together" spirit and clinched second place overall. Iron Wave Warriors and Thiếu Nữ maintained top rankings thanks to smart strategies and strong adaptability.
Teams like Dấu Chân, SVP, THƯƠNG, BÉT, Cross, and Sun Sea may not have finished at the very top, but they displayed unwavering consistency, camaraderie, and resilience – always reaching the finish line within time limits.
Each of the 100 participants contributed a unique color to this vivid race mosaic – with every team carrying their own story, their own triumphs, and unforgettable memories.

Spreading Community Values and Promoting Sustainable Development in Tân Hóa
In 2025, the Tú Làn Adventure Race once again affirmed its role as a meaningful sporting event by combining physical challenges with practical community initiatives. With the goal of building 60 self-contained toilets for underprivileged households in the area, Oxalis Foundation contributed the remaining 25 units—marking a concrete step toward improving living conditions, enhancing sanitation, and supporting public health, especially in rural areas with limited infrastructure.
Tú Làn 2025 race participants personally handed over self-contained toilets to local households in Tân Hóa.
Beyond its social impact, the race also brought economic benefits to the local community. Throughout the event, local residents earned additional income by supporting logistics such as transportation, catering, accommodation, and guiding services. The event also helped introduce the natural beauty and cultural identity of Tân Hóa to both domestic and international visitors, contributing to sustainable tourism and encouraging environmentally responsible travel.
The participating teams gathered for a group photo at Tân Hóa Primary School.
The success of Tú Làn Adventure Race 2025 would not have been possible without the support of countless individuals and organizations. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the athletes who gave their best in every stage of the race, embodying the true spirit of adventure and sportsmanship.
We also sincerely appreciate the close coordination of local authorities and the generous support from sponsors who made this season truly complete.
