Oxalis and Vietravel Khanh Hoa Partner to Connect Cam Ranh and Dong Hoi Tourism Routes
On August 16, 2026, Oxalis officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on strategic cooperation with the Vietravel Company, Khanh Hoa Branch. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, Adventure Director and Representative of Oxalis, and Mr. Doan Hai Quan, Director and Representative of Vietravel, Khanh Hoa Branch. The ceremony took place in Quang Tri Province as part of the Khanh Hoa - Quang Tri Culture and Tourism Festival 2026.
Under the agreement, the two parties will work together to develop two way tourism between Khanh Hoa and the North Central provinces. The event also marks the beginning of a pilot partnership aimed at gradually expanding the Net Zero tourism model on an interregional scale. The cooperation is also expected to optimize the potential of the newly launched direct Cam Ranh - Dong Hoi flight route.
Convenient Regional Connectivity via the Direct Cam Ranh - Dong Hoi Flight
This meaningful cooperation milestone was established as part of the 2026 Khanh Hoa - Quang Tri Culture and Tourism Festival, themed “From the Land of Fire and Flowers to the Green Pearl Bay.” The event aims to strengthen economic and social development ties while preserving and promoting the unique cultural values shared by the South Central Coast and the heritage-rich Central Vietnam region.
The foundation for Oxalis and Vietravel Khanh Hoa to establish this partnership is the improvement of regional connectivity. Starting August 16, 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways officially launched the direct Cam Ranh - Dong Hoi flight route. The new service significantly shortens travel time between Khanh Hoa and the North Central provinces.
Instead of spending hours on connecting journeys, travelers can now reach their destination in approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes, with 3 flights per week. Visitors from the coastal city of Nha Trang can quickly travel to the historic land of Quang Tri or explore the spectacular cave systems of Phong Nha, and vice versa. This convenient air connection creates ideal conditions for both sides to expand tourism exchanges and attract visitors in both directions.
To mark the launch of the direct Cam Ranh - Dong Hoi flight route, Oxalis Adventure and Phong Nha Holiday are offering special promotions for passengers, including 10% off cave exploration tours and 15% off accommodation at Chay Lap Farmstay and Blue Diamond Retreat. Travelers simply need to present their flight ticket or booking confirmation for the Cam Ranh - Dong Hoi route, or the return direction, during the promotion period to redeem the offers. Quang Tri - Phong Nha - Nha Trang Heritage Journey: A Complete Green Travel Experience
One of the key focuses of this partnership is the development and launch of distinctive connecting tour products lasting 4 days and 3 nights or 5 days and 4 nights, under the theme “Quang Tri - Phong Nha - Nha Trang Heritage Journey.”
To optimize two way visitor flows and provide travelers with a complete responsible travel experience, the two parties have established a clear division of roles in each market. In Khanh Hoa, Vietravel Khanh Hoa will take the lead in gathering local and international travelers and connecting them to the direct Cam Ranh - Dong Hoi flight route to explore the rich history of Quang Tri and the spectacular cave systems of Phong Nha. In this region, Oxalis will be responsible for providing high quality tours that meet strict Net Zero standards.
In Quang Tri, drawing on its existing customer base of nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts, Oxalis will actively introduce and promote premium marine and island tourism products in Nha Trang, designed and operated directly by Vietravel Khanh Hoa.
The key distinction of these connecting tour itineraries is their focus on carbon neutrality. With years of experience operating sustainable tourism and nature based adventure models, Oxalis will support its partner through professional knowledge transfer and provide comprehensive carbon emissions data for each product and service operated by Oxalis in Central Vietnam. Based on this data, Vietravel Khanh Hoa will integrate and analyze the information to develop a complete package tour with strict emissions controls.
Beyond providing raw data, Oxalis will directly advise and share practical experience with the Vietravel Khanh Hoa team on measuring carbon footprints and implementing a certified Net Zero tourism model.
Carbon Emissions Measurement and Operational Knowledge Sharing
Oxalis and Vietravel Khanh Hoa have agreed on a comprehensive roadmap for implementing green tourism initiatives. The sustainable service standards that Oxalis has successfully applied across its Phong Nha cave exploration tours will be studied and adapted for marine and island tourism products in Khanh Hoa. Key priorities include using electric vehicles or bicycles whenever possible, sourcing local food, and minimizing single use plastic waste throughout the guest experience.
All unavoidable carbon emissions generated during travelers’ transportation and accommodation will be offset. The two companies will jointly implement practical carbon offsetting solutions, such as planting trees and restoring forests, as well as contributing to marine and natural forest conservation funds. Notably, the costs associated with these offsetting activities will be incorporated transparently into the tour price, allowing every traveler to see their direct contribution to environmental protection.
Long Term Commitment to a Sustainable Future for Vietnamese Tourism
The strategic Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies will officially remain in effect for 3 years from the date of signing. This timeframe provides Oxalis and Vietravel Khanh Hoa with an opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness and long term viability of their green tourism partnership, rather than treating it as a short term promotional campaign.
The launch of Net Zero tour products is expected to meet the growing demand from major corporate clients committed to sustainable development through ESG and CSR initiatives, as well as the premium international visitor segment in Khanh Hoa, who increasingly expect tour operators to demonstrate strong social and environmental responsibility.
The combination of Vietravel Khanh Hoa’s established reputation and extensive service network with Oxalis’s specialized expertise in sustainable, low impact tourism operations represents a strong first step toward building a leading interregional Net Zero tourism ecosystem in Vietnam.
Whether you prefer long treks, camping in a cave, sleeping under the stars in the jungle, swimming underground in river caves, explore the huge dry caves or just taking an exploratory day trip, Oxalis Adventure Tours can provide the right amount of adventure just for you.
