UOB partners with Oxalis and Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park: Paving the way for sustainable travel experiences for adventure-loving communities across Asia
On October 20, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, the official announcement of the strategic partnership and signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) took place between UOB Vietnam, Oxalis Adventure, and the Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. This three-way collaboration aims to promote sustainable tourism, environmental conservation, and the beauty of Vietnam’s natural heritage to customers in five key Asian markets of UOB: Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

As one of the region’s leading banks, UOB is headquartered in Singapore and operates in over 19 countries and territories. In Vietnam, UOB is known not only for providing high-quality financial services to businesses and individuals, but also for its long-term commitment to sustainability. This includes green financing, ESG support for businesses, and meaningful community initiatives. UOB positions itself not only as a financial institution, but also as a partner in crafting responsible and meaningful experiences for its customers.
Sharing this vision, Oxalis Adventure, Vietnam’s leading adventure travel operator, has made sustainability a core value, with every activity designed around limiting visitor numbers, strictly adhering to conservation protocols, and generating livelihoods for local communities.
This tripartite model, involving a bank, a tour operator, and a conservation agency, marks a pioneering form of collaboration in Vietnam. Each party brings unique strengths, yet all share a common commitment: to preserve and promote the value of natural heritage responsibly. At the signing ceremony, Mr. Pham Hong Thai, Director of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, emphasized: “We believe that introducing green tourism products and carefully curated natural experiences to UOB employees, KOLs, and customers in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and beyond is a new and powerful way to enhance public awareness, promote heritage to the right audience, and more importantly mobilize additional resources for long-term conservation.”

These awards recognize not only the park’s majestic landscapes, but also the tireless efforts of park management, local communities, and partner organizations in protecting and promoting the region’s unique biodiversity.

This collaboration between UOB, Oxalis, and the Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park marks the beginning of a strategic three-way model: a bank that inspires, a tour operator that delivers responsibly, and a conservation authority that connects nature with people. Under this model, each journey is more than just exploration, it’s a chance to understand, preserve, and contribute to a sustainable future for tourism in Vietnam and the region.
